Let the wild rumpus begin!

Happy New Year!

Yeah, I know it's the 4th but I kind of put everything off until today. Until today, it was still "the holidays." Hubby went back to work today, Logan goes back to school today and I am starting my Body After baby eating plan today. Had to have a few last flings, ya know?

And you want to know what those last flings got me? Right back to 163 pounds, that's what they got me! I had made it down to 159 in the last Body After Baby challenge. I've never really been a holiday gainer, so I'm kind of horrified that I gained a few this time around.

One thing I have been good about, though, is working out. Particularly in the first three days of this year. I have been getting in some great workouts at the gym. Love it!

Now for the diet part. Ugh.

I've been thinking about how I was going to approach it. I know I need to track, but I always fail miserably at it. Why? Because it SUCKS. I've counted calories, macronutrients (protein, carbs and fat) and Weight Watchers Points in the past. All of them would work if I was just consistent, but I HATE going to all the trouble of tracking everything I eat.

So, I'm going to try something a little different this time. I am going to try to do the Weight Watchers Core program for a while. See where it gets me after a few weeks. That way I really only have to keep track of the things I eat that aren't part of the Core list of foods. That seems a bit more do-able, and who knows? Maybe the very fact that I will be tracking those things will keep me from eating many of them because I won't want to deal with tracking them.

We shall see!

In other news, the baby is really against sleeping in his crib right now, or sleeping anywhere for that matter unless it's in my arms. Fun times, I tell ya!

That and the house is still a mess. All the Christmas decorations have been neatly packed away but everything else is still a disaster.

And now, off to get Logan ready for school!
