A nice weekend

Well, despite all of us having some version of the crud (you should have heard us barking in church on Sunday!) we had a nice Easter weekend.

Saturday's big event was taking Logan roller skating for the first time at the same old skating rink I used to go to. It hasn't changed much, and I can't believe it's still open! He had a lot of fun even though he fell a lot. He improved with every lap and by the end, he was doing pretty well. He was really getting down to the music and oh man, Logan dancing is a sight to see. I was trying to capture it on my camera, but it seemed like every time I started to record, he'd stop doing his most spastic fantastic moves. Here's a video of him. It's a couple minutes long, and when it looks like he's about to fall, that's actually him dancing. Oh yeah. I was almost wetting my pants laughing but maybe you had to be there.

Also, this weekend Jordan learned to kazoo. He was so proud of himself!

Easter morning was fun. The kids got their baskets and the biggest hit was that each got a Zhu Zhu pet. I am an awesome mom and I made houses for them out of tissue boxes. The hamsters are quite cute, actually. We've been having fun with them but I have to constantly pick my hair out of the wheels.

The Bunny hid 18 eggs outside for the kids to find. Actually, the Bunny got his (her) sorry butt out of bed at 5:30 and went outside to hide eggs in the dark, and then went back to bed because it was raining when the Bunny went to bed the night before so the Bunny couldn't hide the eggs outside. An indoor hunt just wouldn't have been the same.

Then we got all dolled up for church. I actually felt sort of pretty for once. Do you think my husband could even say that he thought I looked nice? Nope! Maybe he didn't think so. I could have used a little ego stroking, though. Instead, Logan told me "It looks like you have a big fat belly!!!" Thanks kid.

Here's me, all girly.

I even have MATCHING painted fingernails and toenails!

But anyway, we were all dressed up. We didn't have time to pose for more than one pic before we hurried out the door to church and it ended up being a not-great photo of all of us, but whatever. It's proof. We were dressed up.

After church we went about our day. Hubby got groceries, we played outside and had a ribeye roast for dinner. I did snap this photo of Logan swinging with his big dirty feet. I love it!

Oh, and here's Jordan enjoying a yummy Easter egg.

Have a great week!
