I've read so many conflicting articles about it, but the theory I'm on board with at the moment is that it's great as a prevention when you're younger, but it's nt recommended for older women - especially those who are post-menopausal. It's so frustrating to read different information though, I still read everything I can find on the subject. You've reminded me that I need to write a proper post on it, thanks!

It's great that you're taking some measures against it, but don't let the fear control you - it beats you that way too. Do what you can and live while you're doing it, that's my way of thinking about it!

Thanks again, and really glad you found the info useful :)Alex @ fightcancerwithfoodhttp://fightcancerwithfood.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847258519094363449.post-43079785510555851202011-08-28T12:48:31.913-04:002011-08-28T12:48:31.913-04:00Cancer SUCKS! My Dad had it when he was 30 (he's fine now), his sister died at 38 from cervical cancer, my grandmother died from ovarian cancer, her 2 sisters had cancer, 1 died at 48 and the other is still alive. I had a mole removed from my back years ago and had some pre-cancerous cells scraped from my cervix too (ouch). I worry about cancer all the time.Cynthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14976728445215212273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847258519094363449.post-55003078466243099062011-08-25T20:07:45.868-04:002011-08-25T20:07:45.868-04:00soy is on to-avoid lists for high-risk breast canc...soy is on to-avoid lists for high-risk breast cancer, too, which scares me away from it. how do i know if i'm high risk? if 1 in 4 women will get it, aren't we ALL high risk?!?!Krystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15341112847255454593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6847258519094363449.post-72292552414754057642011-08-25T10:58:57.104-04:002011-08-25T10:58:57.104-04:00I have issues with soy, my wife has kidney problem...I have issues with soy, my wife has kidney problems, and soy is on the avoid list as your kidneys don't process it, which scares me.Steve Hayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12599310847369391582noreply@blogger.com
