Good morning!
Well, Hubby decided to stay home from work today and take a ding on his spotless attendance record so he can hopefully get the bathtub functioning. This is good! Yesterday's shower at the gym with both boys is something I hope never to have to repeat! It was really rough. Jordan screamed the whole time. I had one of our pool towels on the floor of the shower so he could sit there, but he kept trying to pull up and kept slipping. The stall was TINY and Logan and Jordan and I were all crammed in there, and because Logan is over the age of 3, we had to do it in the "family" locker room, which means there are men AND women in there, and there were 3-inch gaps on each side of the shower curtain, so I showered in my bathing suit. Yes, it was an unsatisfactory experience.
Anyway, can't wait to see the bathroom progress today. Plus, I think I found a shower curtain I like! Yay! It's online, though, so I can't see it in person first, which bugs me.
Despite Jordan not going to bed until 11 and me getting up with him again from 3:30 to 4:30, I got up at 5:40 and hauled my sorry butt to the gym! I jogged a mile, did some weights and ended with my 50 crunches for today.
The weights i did are:
single-arm incline flyes, 3 sets of 8 per arm with a 20-pound DB
single-leg deadlifts holding 20-pound DBs, 3 sets of 8 per leg
single-arm lat pulldown, 3 sets of 8 per arm with 40 pounds
single-arm rear delt flye with 12.5 pounds
Then I came home and went into the bathroom and on a whim decided to hop on the scale. I smiled. 159.5. FINALLY the 150s! It's only by a half pound, though, so I am expecting my typical thing where I see a small number and then it disappears for a while before I see it again. I mean, it's first thing in the morning and I just sweated a bunch, so I was probably dehydrated.
BUT... I saw it with my own two eyes. And I got off the scale and back on twice just to make sure.
So, I'm off to nab a cup of coffee and then post my Wordless Wednesday, then get Logan off to school and then after school we have a play date.
Hope you all have a great day!

Tuesday as usual
Good morning!
Well, here we are. Tuesday. Big things on tap for today are baby swim for Jordan this morning, karate for Logan this afternoon, and then taking out the garbage and watching The Biggest Loser this evening.
Oh, and possibly drawing two new giveaway winners, since I haven't yet heard from SIHUI or TARA. If I don't hear from either of them by 8 p.m., I'm picking new winners.
I actually got up at about 4:30 and changed and nursed Jordan, and then went out for a 25-minute jog! Usually Hubby works out in the morning, but I for some reason woke up and wanted to go for a run. Hubby said OK, so I did. It was weird being out so early. There was not a soul about in town save for one realllllly fat raccoon waddling down the sidewalk. I went just a touch over 2 miles. Yep, I'm still slow. Oh well. It felt pretty good anyway.
Yesterday, I got up and did Jillian Michaels' Cardio Kickbox DVD and then last night I went to the gym for weights. I decided to go single-side this week, and OUCH! I can really feel it!
I did:
Single-arm flat chest press, 3 sets of 8 per arm with a 35-pound DB
One-arm rows, 3 sets of 8 per arm with a 35-pound DB
Overhead shoulder press, 3 sets of 8 per arm wtih a 25-pound DB
Bulgarian split squats, 3 sets of 8 per leg holding 17.5 pound DBs
then I grabbed a stability ball and did 3 sets of 10 leg curls and 3 sets of 10 knee-ins.
Then... I took a shower at the gym because our bathroom still looks like this:
Yeah, it's going to be a while, I think. Not that I'm complaining. Yes, it's kind of a pain to be without a real bathroom, but it's going to be SO nice once it's complete. It is a HUGE job for one man to do by himself, especially if that one man is my Hubby, who has a very long commute to work and can't exactly work on it at night. He was talking about taking a day off this week and working on it so we can at least have a functioning bathtub, but I don't know if that will happen or not. No matter what, though, eventually we'll have a nice, new non-moldy bathroom! I will be patient!
Today I will shower myself and the boys at the gym after baby swim. It will be difficult to get the baby and myself and Logan clean without putting the baby down but somehow I will manage!
I'm still struggling with what kind of colors I want to do in the new bathroom. I was thinking a purple at first, but now I'm thinking maybe red and white would be cool because we have NO vibrant colors in our house. Plus red would go nicely with the cherry vanity we got. I don't know. I have been looking at shower curtains thinking I'd start there, but I can't seem to find any I like. Brown is SO in right now, and I see lots of brown ones I like, but I'm trying to get away from brown and green since we have so much of those colors throughout the rest of our house.
Well, that's about it for today, I guess. I'm stiff from last night's weights and this morning's jog, so I'll probably be hobbling like an old lady today! Maybe I can work in a nice stretch somewhere.
Hope you all have a great day!
XO

Body After Baby Week 3 recap
I don't want to type this post.
I completely failed at Week 3 of the Body After Baby Challenge over at Mama Notes.
So, let's recap. I did great in week 1. Sucked in week 2. Sucked worse in week 3.
I could use all sorts of excuses, like the fact that Aunt Flo stopped in for a visit on Friday, and our house is in shambles due to the bathroom project, which meant I didn't get to go to the gym or work out at all this weekend because Hubby was busy and we couldn't trade off the kids like we usually do. Plus, we went out for lunch on Saturday after Logan's soccer and got pizza Saturday night.
But really, there is no excuse. I just plain didn't make the effort to work out hard or eat healthy all the time.
The week's mini challenge was to eat healthy meals (which was defined as meals including at least 2 food groups). You could get a maximum of 3 points a day. Well, I did eat mostly healthy meals. I got 17 points. But the problems lie in the crap I eat BETWEEN meals!
So, Saturday morning's weigh-in was one pound UP from last week. Period bloat? I hope so! It sucks though.
On to Week 4.
I am not sure what the week will look like as far as working out. I think Hubby got up and went to the gym this morning so that means I should be able to go tonight. I don't think he's planning to do any big projects in the bathroom until next weekend (which means I am bath and showerless! I will have to either shower at the gym or beg the neighbors to use theirs!)
I did do all three of my heavy full-body weights workouts last week. I don't have a problem doing weights. I plan to do some sort of single arm-single leg workouts this week. I need to somehow get in more cardio, though.
Anyway, all I can do is try to do better than week 3.
But I'm wondering how I can motivate myself. I am quite unmotivated and I'm not sure why.
