Lazy days turn to crazy days

Last week was officially the start of school, but with the arrival of this week comes a much busier schedule. My calendar for September has something written on every single day except for Thursdays!

With the first FULL week of school comes the first week of Jordan's swim class and the first week of Logan's soccer. Our weeks will look like this:

Monday: school in the a.m.
Tuesday: swim in the a.m., karate in the p.m.
Wednesday: school in the a.m., standing play date after school
Thursday: blessedly open
Friday: school in the a.m.
Saturday: soccer at noon
Sunday: Sunday School and church, grocery shopping

Of course, you must also figure in the fact that Hubby and I each go to the gym every day, plus other things that pop up like doctor's appointments, field trips, weddings, birthday parties, etc. Not only that, but we have a baby that must nap twice daily (and he WON'T nap if we're not at home. It's fun.) and kids that must be fed regularly, etc. Not only that, the laundry and dishes still take every opportunity to procreate when we're not looking, and the dust bunnies, I believe, have plans to overtake the house.

It's going to be a crazy fall!

I'm just hoping I don't get all caught up in the craziness and forget to enjoy my favorite season and all it has to offer. One month from today is my 8th wedding anniversary (and 18 years total together with Hubby! Yay!)

So, if I seem to be getting a little too crazy about the "have-tos," someone please give me a gentle (or not-so-gentle, if need be) reminder to stop, take a couple deep breaths and enjoy Michigan's autumn while it lasts. Thanks.

Oops! Gotta run. Laundry's calling... and dinner's not far behind. Then comes dishes, and baths for the boys, and, and, and,...

  1. It is amazing how fast the calendar fills up! We have stuff going on every weekend through November, at least 3-4 nights a week and then there is work and normal life.
